This beautiful jewel box is in the shape of a butterfly. The box is made from pewter and gold-plated with insets of enamel and crystal. The upper set of wings have a ruby red enamel that shades into dark amber on the edges. The box is hinged on one end and opens to reveal a small compartment enameled in pale pink.
